With PAF Airman registration 2026 closing on 19 July, thousands of candidates will soon face the selection tests. Remember: PAF allows a maximum of three attempts — candidates who fail the initial tests or merit list three times cannot apply again. So every attempt counts. Here is how to prepare smartly.
1. Computerized Intelligence Test
The first hurdle is the electronic test at the selection centre, covering verbal and non-verbal intelligence — patterns, sequences, analogies and basic reasoning. Practice daily with intelligence test books used for armed forces recruitment (Dogar/Caravan style). Speed matters as much as accuracy: solve sample sets against a timer.

2. Academic Test
The academic paper is based on your Matric syllabus — English, Physics and Mathematics (Medical Assistant candidates also get Biology). Focus on:
- English: Grammar basics, tenses, prepositions, synonyms/antonyms and simple comprehension
- Physics: Definitions, units, formulas and numericals from the Matric course
- Mathematics: Algebra, basic geometry, percentages, ratios and speed calculations
- Past papers: Solve previous PAF Airman test papers — question patterns repeat frequently

3. Physical Fitness Test
Start training at least 2–3 weeks before your test date. The physical test includes running, push-ups and sit-ups as per PAF standards. A simple routine: morning run (build up to the required distance/time gradually), 3 sets of push-ups and sit-ups daily, and proper sleep and hydration. Don’t attempt maximum effort for the first time on test day — your body should already be used to it.
4. Medical Examination
Many candidates clear all tests but fail the medical. Get a basic checkup beforehand: eyesight, hearing, dental health and any minor issues (like earwax buildup) that can be fixed in advance. Avoid junk food and maintain a healthy weight in the weeks before the test.
5. Interview Tips
- Know basic facts about PAF — its role, motto and famous operations
- Be clear about why you chose your specific trade
- Dress neatly, sit straight, and answer confidently and honestly
- Never give false information — verification happens at every stage
Final Advice
Make a 10–14 day study plan: intelligence practice in the morning, one academic subject daily, and physical training in the evening. Consistency beats cramming. If you haven’t registered yet, see our step-by-step application guide and apply before 19 July 2026.
