Islamabad Police is the police force of the federal capital and works directly under the Islamabad Capital Territory administration. Its Executive Staff, sometimes called the Law and Order side, is the uniformed branch that handles patrolling, police station duty, traffic support during large events, security of the diplomatic enclave and general public dealing. Because Islamabad hosts the federal government, foreign missions and a constant stream of national events, the force keeps recruiting to fill the gap between sanctioned and working strength.
The three ranks in this advertisement are not interchangeable, and it helps to understand what each one means before you choose. Constable in BS-07 is the entry rank of the force and needs only Matric, which is why it carries 1,540 of the 1,624 seats. Assistant Sub-Inspector in BS-11 is a supervisory rank that requires a bachelor’s degree, with 24 seats. Sub-Inspector in BS-14 is the rank that normally serves as an investigation officer or a station house officer in due course, also requires a bachelor’s degree, and has 60 seats.
No prior experience is required for any of the three posts, so fresh graduates and fresh Matric-qualified candidates are equally eligible. What the advertisement is strict about is age and physical standards. Every applicant must be between 18 and 25 years of age, calculated on the closing date of 2 September 2026, and the advertisement states plainly that there is no relaxation in age, height or chest for anybody. Candidates who are even slightly outside these limits should not spend the fee.
