Legal Aid Society Internship 2026
The Legal Aid Society is recruiting Justice Hub Interns for its district facilities in Sanghar and Dadu, and applications close on 6 September 2026. There is one intern position per district.

This is a rare opening for law graduates in interior Sindh. The Justice Hubs are district-level access-to-justice facilities, and the intern sits at the front of that work — handling client intake and documentation, preparing and filing complaints before ombudsman institutions, doing legal and social research, running community outreach and keeping case-tracking data.

The eligibility is deliberately wide. Fresh graduates and final-year students are both accepted, and the qualifying disciplines go well beyond law: Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Gender Studies, Development Studies and Human Rights all count. No professional experience is required. What is required is fluency in Urdu, Sindhi and English.

One thing to note on the date: the Society’s own careers page states 6 September 2026, while the mirror of the same advertisement on the BrightSpyre recruitment portal shows 30 September. Apply by 6 September to be safe.

What the intern actually does

The advertisement sets out the work clearly. Interns handle client intake, documentation and case follow-up at the Justice Hub; prepare and file complaints online before the relevant Ombudsman offices; carry out legal and social research; support community outreach and mobilisation; maintain case-tracking and data records; and provide programme and administrative support under staff supervision. It is hands-on access-to-justice work rather than a shadowing placement.

Legal Aid Society Internship 2026 Eligibility Criteria

  • Relevant disciplines named in the advertisement are Law, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Gender Studies, Development Studies and Human Rights.
  • No prior professional experience is required. Previous internship, volunteer work, legal clinic exposure, moot court participation, research or community engagement is treated as an advantage.
  • Fluency in Urdu, Sindhi and English is required; additional local languages are an advantage.

Legal Aid Society Internship 2026 How to Apply

  1. Open the Legal Aid Society careers page at las.org.pk and go to the current openings section.
  2. Click View Role against Justice Hub Intern — Sanghar or Justice Hub Intern — Dadu and read the full responsibilities and eligibility section.
  3. Each role opens its own online application form. There is no email route given in the advertisement.
  4. Complete the form with your degree programme, institution, language proficiencies in Urdu, Sindhi and English, and upload your CV.
  5. Submit before 6 September 2026. Apply against the district you can actually work in, since these are two separate positions.
  6. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted for testing and interview. LAS can be reached on +92-21-35634112-4 for queries.

Important Notes

  • The Legal Aid Society charges no fee at any stage. Never pay anyone claiming to arrange a placement.
  • The stipend and duration are not stated in the advertisement — ask about both before accepting a placement.
  • The two roles are district-specific. Applying for Sanghar does not put you in the running for Dadu; submit against the one you want.
  • Sindhi language ability is a genuine requirement here, not a preference, because the work involves direct client contact in the district.
  • The Society’s own page and the BrightSpyre mirror show different closing dates. Treat 6 September 2026 as the deadline.

What is the last date for the Legal Aid Society internship 2026?

6 September 2026, as stated on the Legal Aid Society’s own careers page. A mirror of the same advertisement shows 30 September, so apply by 6 September to be safe.

Is this internship only for law graduates?

No. Social sciences graduates are equally eligible — Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Gender Studies, Development Studies and Human Rights are all named in the advertisement.

Is the Legal Aid Society internship paid?

A stipend is not stated in the official advertisement. Candidates should confirm this directly with the organisation.

Do I need to speak Sindhi?

Yes. The advertisement requires fluency in Urdu, Sindhi and English, because the intern deals directly with clients in Sanghar and Dadu.

Note: Candidates are advised to confirm eligibility, stipend and the closing date on the official Legal Aid Society careers page before applying, as details can change without notice.
