Who Needs a Protector Stamp?

The Protector stamp is required for every Pakistani going abroad on a work or employment visa, regardless of skill level — domestic workers, drivers, labourers, welders, nurses, engineers, IT professionals and managers all need it.

You do not need a Protector stamp if you are travelling on a tourist, visit, business, student, Hajj or Umrah visa. It applies only to work/employment visas.

Protector Fee Structure 2026

The total Protector fee is made up of several smaller government charges, all paid through a designated bank challan. For a direct emigrant, the core charges are approximately:

This has made the process significantly faster for many workers.

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

• Valid passport (with the work/employment visa)
